Lake Lida Fishing

Lake Lida is located near Pelican Rapids in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. Lake Lida is generally considered as two separate lakes, North Lake Lida (56074701) and South Lake Lida (56074702).

North Lake Lida has a maximum depth of 58 feet and a surface area of 5,513 acres. The lake also has a concrete public access site owned and maintained by the state (DNR).

North Lake Lida has a variety of fishing available, including black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, bowfin (dogfish), brown bullhead, freshwater drum, green sunfish, hybrid sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, rock bass, smallmouth bass, tullibee (cisco), walleye, white sucker, yellow bullhead, and yellow perch. North Lida Lake is also connected to Lizzie Lake via a non-navigable culvert under County Road 4.

A majority of the shoreline on North Lida Lake has been developed. Homes, cottages, and resorts compose the development.

South Lake Lida has a maximum depth of 48 feet and a surface area of 775 acres. A state owned (DNR) concrete public access is located within Maplewood State Park along the south shoreline of the lake.

Fishing varieties on South Lake Lida include black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, bowfin (dogfish), brown bullhead, freshwater drum, golden shiner, hybrid sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, rock bass, smallmouth bass, tullibee (cisco), walleye, white sucker, yellow bullhead, and yellow perch.
